3.7 INTERCHANEABILITY.-
All parts having the same manu-
facturer's part number shall be functionally and dimensionally
intechangeable. (Changes in the manufacturer's part numbers shall
be governed by the drawing number requirements of Specification
MIL-D-5028.
3.8 WEIGHT.- The weight shell be kept to a minimum consistent
with the requirements of this specification. The dry weight of the
assembled compressor unit shall be specified in the model specifica-
tion.
3,9 THREADA.- Only straight threads conforming to Specifications
MIL-S-7742 shall be used. If desired, pipe threads conforming to
Specification MIL-P-7105 may be used for connections within the
unit that are not broken for the life of the unit, or for pemanently
plugged, drilled, or cored openings.
3.10 IDENTIFICATION OF PRODUCT
3.10.1 MARKING OF PARTS.- Equipment, assemblies, and parts
shall be marked for identification in accordance with MIL-STD-130.
3.10.2 NAMEPLATE.- A nameplate, permanently and legibly marked
with the information listed below, shell be securely attached to
each compressor unit. The information marked in the spaces pro-
vided on the nameplete shall be in accordance with MIL-D-130.
